Join us for MSSA's new take on the popular reality show "The Amazing Race" as we send conference attendees on a two mile race around downtown Minneapolis! As racers begin the race at the hotel, they will work in small groups of 2-4 people to solve clues, gain bonus points, visit points of interest around town and race back to the hotel to win the race. Racers will be judged on race time, clues solved and bonus points accumulated. Fabulous prizes will be bestowed on the winners at the race's conclusion. A portion of the net proceeds from racer registrations will benefit the MSSA Scholarship Fund. 

Racers will be provided with a clues sheet, map of downtown area, and a copy of the race rules and score sheet upon arrival. At least one racer on each team must have a smartphone (preferably with 3G or 4G wireless internet and data plan). Top three teams will receive prizes. The final scores will be a compilation of time, bonus points accumulated, and correct tasks completed. Racers should dress for the weather as they will be walking around downtown.

Racer Check-in:  5:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Racers Must Be Present and Ready to Start:  5:30 p.m.
Race Results/Awards Ceremony: 6:30 p.m. Must be present to win.
Conclude Event: 7:30 p.m.

Racer Registration Early Bird Fee (received by Feb. 29): $20   
Racer Registration Late Fee (received after Feb. 29 on a space available basis only): $25   
All racers must agree to abide by all race rules and pay the racer registration fee. 

Waiver: MSSA will not be held responsible or liable for any race injuries. Racers race at their own risk. MSSA is not responsible for any items left in the Hilton meeting room. Racers must be present at awards ceremony to win prizes.
