MSSA Committees

MSSA's committees implement and execute the organization's strategic plan. MSSA members can join committees based on their professional expertise and interest.

Committees include:

  • Awards and Scholarships
  • Conference and Education
  • Public Policy and Advocacy
Note: The Conference and Education Committee is currently open to new members in July 2021. Recruitment for the Awards and Scholarships committee will occur in late spring 2022; the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee will be looking for new members in December 2021.

Awards and Scholarships Committee

The Awards and Scholarships Committee is responsible for overseeing award and scholarship programming, and the review and selection of both award and scholarship recipients. Conference and Education Committee

The Conference and Education Committee reviews and selects session topics and speakers, and executes the educational program for MSSA's Annual Training Conference and Expo, held each March. For more information on this committee, download the Committee Responsibilities and Expectations  document. Public Policy and Advocacy Committee

The Public Policy and Advocacy Committee provides oversight for MSSA's Public Policy and Advocacy program, including all matters relating to legislation, public policy, and advocacy in line with MSSA's mission, purpose, and values. For more information on this committee, download the Committee Responsibilities and Expectations document.
