Each year, MSSA sponsors $4,500 in scholarships for students in human service related degree seeking programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Two MSSA John Moline Scholarships are given in the amount of $1,000 each to an undergraduate student enrolled in a human service-related program. The MSSA Diversity Scholarship is given in the amount of $1,000 to a student who is from a diverse background enrolled in a undergraduate human service program. The Graduate Scholarship is given in the amount of $1,500 to a graduate student enrolled in a health and human service-related program.
Thanks to a generous donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, MSSA will be restructuring its scholarship program to benefit more students. The new process will be enacted in late 2019. Stay tuned for more details.
Scholarship applications are accepted June 10-August 1. Applicants may apply to more than one scholarship if they meet requirements for multiple scholarships. Scholarship recipients for the 2019-2020 school year will be announced mid-August. MSSA encourages all students in human service-related degree seeking programs in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota to apply.
