MSSA recently learned that the platform we are using to host our annual conference requires all participants to have Zoom downloaded to their computers in order to access live content. These instructions provide troubleshooting and instructions on how to download Zoom.

Solution 1: Verify that you have Zoom downloaded to your computer.

If you have Zoom downloaded to your computer, there is nothing additional you need to do; you will be able to access all conference content.
To verify that you have Zoom downloaded, please follow these steps:

For Windows Users

 1.    Search your apps by clicking the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.

 2. Type in "Zoom."

 3. If the app appears, you are all set, and nothing additional needs to be done.
 4. If the app does not appear, go to Solution 2.

For Mac Users
1.    Search your apps by clicking the magnifying glass at the top right corner of your screen.

 2. Type in "Zoom."

 3. If the app appears, you are all set and nothing additional needs to be done.
 4. If the app does not appear, go to Solution 2.

Solution 2: Download Zoom to your computer.

If you are utilizing a work computer and your employer or IT department does not allow Zoom to be downloaded to your work computer, go to Solution 3.
If your employer or IT department does allow Zoom to be downloaded, follow these steps:

 1.    Go to https://zoom.us/download
 2. Click the blue Download button.

 3. Once the download is complete, there is nothing additional you need to do; you are all set.

Solution 3: Download Zoom to a personal device.

You can access MSSA's Annual Training Conference and Expo through a personal computer or mobile device. Our your personal device:

 1.    Go to https://zoom.us/download
 2. Click the blue download button.

 3. If you can access the email address that you used to register for the conference through this device, you are all set.
 4. If you cannot access the email address that you used to register for the conference through this device, go to Solution 4.

Solution 4: Complete the email update form.

To access the virtual conference, you will need to login to the virtual conference platform with the same email address you used to register. Many of you used a work email to register. If you can access your work email on your personal device, then you are all set, and you don't need to do anything else.

If you registered with a work email address and cannot access that email on a personal device, you will need to add another email address to your registration. You can do this easily by going to bit.ly/MSSAzoom and entering your name and alternate email address. Shortly thereafter, you will receive a confirmation from an MSSA staff person that your conference registration has been updated.
