Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting Tips

The virtual conference will be available from April 6 - May 6, 2022.

MSSA is hosting its virtual conference through Guidebook, an online engagement platform. All conference registrants will receive an email invitation to the MSSA Guidebook page on Monday, March 28, with instructions on how to access. If you have trouble logging in to Guidebook, or if you would like to access Guidebook with a personal email address, email us at info@mnssa.org.

To find recorded sessions and/or live virtual sessions, pull up the Schedule (left sidebar). On the Schedule page, select the "Recording for On-demand" and "Virtual" filters. You can also view a list of the virtual sessions here.

To watch a recorded session, select the session from the Schedule (left sidebar). Tip: Make sure to click back to March 16 on the calendar to view all available sessions, then click the "Recording for On-Demand" and "Virtual" Track filters on the right sidebar. Videos are embedded on the session pages at the bottom of each page. On the web version of Guidebook, videos can be docked, allowing users to navigate the Guidebook Web page while still viewing the video. This also allows viewers to make the video full screen.

Live Zoom webinars will appear at the top of the session page. Live videos cannot be docked. If participants try to join a Zoom webinar before it has been started by MSSA, participants will see the following message: “Your connection has timed out and you cannot join the meeting. Verify your network connectivity and try again”. This is an error message set by Zoom, and it just means that the meeting has not yet begun. Once the webinar has started, attendees should refresh the page.

If you are only seeing the same handful of sessions on the Schedule page, click the Calendar and select March 16, then select the Recording for On-Demand and Virtual filters on the right sidebar.

Depending on the date your license was issued, virtual hours may count towards your licensure. This announcement from the MN Board of Social Work has more details.

One hour of content is worth one CEU. Most sessions run between one and two hours, and are therefore count as one, one and a half (for 90-minute sessions), or two CEUs. You can track your hours on the CEU Certificate provided on the FAQ page.

We are including the actual pricing when registering this year so agencies know exactly how much they are spending for the conference. When registering, select the “Pay Later” option—an invoice will automatically be emailed to you; you should hang onto the invoice in case a supervisor requests it. If your agency is participating in the Agency Member Discount Program, then your agency will pay for your registration, and your balance will be cleared from your account once we receive payment from your employer post-conference. Please note that you may still be responsible for your individual membership dues depending on your agency’s policy.

All individuals automatically receive an invoice/order confirmation upon registering for the conference. If you know your employer is paying for your registration and/or MSSA membership, please forward the invoice to a supervisor or the appropriate person in your organization. MSSA will be billing all agencies after the virtual portion of the conference is over in May 2022.

MSSA is happy to help register your group on your behalf. Email info@mnssa.org with a list of each person’s name, email address, and preference for in-person or virtual.

If the correct conference registration price is not appearing, take the following steps.

1. Check to make sure your membership Paid Through date is greater than or equal to 04/01/2022. If your membership expires before April 1, you will need to renew it/join first.
2. If your membership is up-to-date and the correct conference registration price still does not appear, send us an email at info@mnssa.org.

Remember: An actual price will appear for all registrants, whether they or their employers are responsible for final payment.

If you are registering for the virtual component only, register by April 1 to receive full access.
