MSSA offers FREE memberships for students!

All full-time students seeking a degree in a health and human service related major or program are eligible for a free membership with MSSA. This is valid at any time during the students’ enrollment and for one year after graduation. Click here to join, or contact MSSA at [email protected].

MSSA supports your education. MSSA supports future health and human service professionals through tuition discounts and our scholarship program.
MSSA helps you launch your career. MSSA offers free or discounted registration for student members to educational and training events year-round, including our annual conference. Additionally, our Career Center provides access to hundreds of job opportunities across Minnesota.
MSSA increases your professional network. MSSA members are connected to a statewide network of over 4,000 health and human service professionals, including students from schools across Minnesota, and to local networks through MSSA’s regional chapters.
MSSA introduces you to the health and human service field. As a member, you'll receive weekly updates with breaking news from the state capitol as well as trends and best practices in health and human services. Members also receive The Voice, MSSA’s quarterly print newsletter.
MSSA builds your advocacy skills. MSSA's public policy and advocacy program gives you options to advocate for yourself and your clients. MSSA helps members understand the legislative process, move their issues forward, and connect with legislators and other stakeholders.
MSSA fuels your passion. Each year, MSSA members recognize the unsung heroes of the profession, including outstanding students, at the regional and state levels with MSSA’s awards.

Tuition Discounts

MSSA has partnered with Augsburg University, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and Walden University to offer tuition discounts to members.

Augsburg University's Benefits
MSSA has partnered with Augsburg University to offer a tuition discount on adult undergraduate and graduate programs. MSSA members are eligible to receive:

$50 off per undergraduate credit or $80 off per graduate credit
Deferred tuition, allowing you to pay for your tuition up to 60 days after the end of term

Augsburg offers flexible options to help you reach your goals, including the adult undergraduate program, which offers majors such a business, education, nursing, and psychology; nine master’s programs, and two doctoral programs. Augsburg’s degree programs are designed for working adults, including their Master of Social Work, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Arts in Leadership programs. Saint Mary's Benefits
MSSA has partnered with Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, making all members and their families eligible to receive a waived application fee and a 10 percent tuition discount on professional and certificate programs through the School of Graduate and Professional Programs. Programs are offered online as well as at Saint Mary's campus or satellite locations in Minnesota. Coursework in online programs is 100 percent online. Degrees include the Master of Social Work and Master of Business Administration, in addition to a variety of other programs! Click here to learn more.

Walden University Benefits
